Kings XI Punjab Beat Royal Challengers Bangalore By 4 Wickets

Another big wins for Kings XI Punjab in this fifth session of Indian Premier League, as today here in M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru they beat the home team by 4 wickets.

Starting Kings XI Punjab won the toss and sent Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat first. Opener Mayank Agarwal was out while team score was 7. Later Indian vice Captain Virat Kohli came to bat and taking devastating Chris Gayle on the other side they jointly contributed 119 runs for the 2nd wickets. Gayle was out while their team score was 126, but within this short period he contributed 71 of 42 balls taking help of 6 fours and 4 sixes. Very next over Virat Kohli was bowled by leg spinner Piyush Chawla 45 of his individual score. But later falling of few wickets in quick sessions end of 20 th over their innings were stopped at 158 by losing 5 wickets. Azhar Mahmood was picked up 3 wickets in this match, though Piyush Chawla and Ryan Harris got 1 wicket each.

Came to chase the target of 159 since the beginning Kings XI Punjab was in good touch, as their two openers today contributed 38 runs for first wicket. Mandeep Singh was lbw by Kotarangada Appanna at 43 of his individual score. Later Nitin Saini’s 50 of 36 balls with 5 fours and David Hussey’s 45 of just 29 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes quite comfortably reached their score around 154. Though later in the very next ball Abhishek Nayar was run out by Virat Kohli, but this had not create any effect in their chasing. As resulted they covered the target remaining 1 ball left. End of the game they made 163 by losing 6 wickets. Andrew McDonald was picked up two wickets and Kotarangada Appanna got 1 wicket in this match.
